Kaela Murphy: Application for Stride Gallery Prairie Crocus project space

 I found this opportunity through Instagram and then found further project descriptions on the website https://calgaryartsdevelopment.com where they laid out where you could send applications and the requirements. I have copy-pasted the call below and got the information from https://calgaryartsdevelopment.com/classifieds/the-prairie-crocus-stride-2021/

This call focuses especially on early career Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, and racialized artists also within the LGBTQIA2S+ community for artists here in Mohkinstsis (Calgary) and the colonially known province of Alberta.

The Prairie Crocus is for artists who deserve equity in exhibitional opportunities; creatives of all kinds who feel they can create in this window space; whether that be visual, performance, musical, written, etc. Institutional education is not a requirement. If this space can be utilized by you, we want to support you through that.

Video submissions maximum of 5 minutes of material via email is also an available option.

We ask in your short submission that you answer these two questions; What do you hope to create in this space? And, Why do you want to show your work in The Prairie Crocus?

I submitted documentation of the work I want to exhibit in an email with the requested information to the Stride Gallery Curator Eva Birhanu and have so far received notice they have my submission, but no notice on approval yet.
